The Peoples’ Democratic Party, Vice-Presidential Candidate, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has said his emergence as a running mate to the party presidential flag-bearer, Atiku Abubakar, is an act of God.
Okowa stated this on Tuesday night in an interview with Solacebase and select media professionals in Kano.
Solacebase reports that since the selection of Ifeanyi Okowa as the running mate to Atiku Abubakar for the 2023 general election, it has generated controversy in the camp of Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike , who thought he would be chosen.
According to Okowa , all those that were considered during the selection period were well qualified as himself.

‘’The issue of somebody not happy with my choice are all politics and this are going to be address sooner than later.’’
‘’My rich track record in governance and as a grass-root politician that started his political career from the local government level in 1991, all came to play with what the presidential candidate considered
‘’I believe my choice as a running mate is the best for the party to win election come 2023,’’ Okowa said.
‘’ I am not saying this because I am his running mate , but honestly, Atiku is the best choice for the presidency job.’’
‘’Nigeria at this moment needs a presidential candidate with a wealth of experience, because the job is not for ‘’try and error’’.
