2025: Kano announces Hajj deposit, seat allocation

Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has officially announced the 2025 Hajj deposit for intending pilgrims from the state.

SolaceBase reports that this is in line with the directive from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

A statement issued by Public Relations Officer, Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board Sulaiman A. Dederi, said the Board Director General Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa made this announcement on Monday during a meeting with Local Government Hajj Center Officers held at his office.

‘’As directed by NAHCON, the deposit for the 2025 Hajj has been set at eight million, four hundred thousand naira (₦8,400,000) only, ‘’the statement said.

PROMISES-DELIVERED

‘’The Director General stated that the Board will commence the collection of deposits through bank drafts submitted via Local Government Hajj Center Officers. The collection will begin immediately and will continue until the closing date, which will be announced alongside the final Hajj fare.

According to the statement, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u urged all intending pilgrims to ensure timely payments in accordance with the schedule provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the 2025 Hajj.

He further emphasized that intending pilgrims are required to submit eight passport-sized photographs, a valid international passport, and a personal bank account for proper identification.

He added that NAHCON has allocated four thousand three hundred and fifty-six (4,356) Hajj seats to Kano State, which will be distributed across all local governments in the state.

In a remark, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Alhaji Yusuf Lawan, called on Local Government Hajj Center Officers to work diligently to ensure that the allocated seats for their respective areas are secured and properly managed.
