2Baba, Don Jazzy, Olamide inspired my music journey – Rema
Nigerian singer, Rema has revealed the influence of Don Jazzy, 2Baba, and Olamide on his musical career.
In a recent interview with Apple Music, Rema discussed how Don Jazzy’s distinctive production style, especially from the Mo Hits Records era, played a key role in shaping his sound.

He also highlighted the
impact of Olamide, Psquare, 2Baba, and Timaya on his artistic development.

“I feel like mostly I took a lot of inspiration from Mohits because from the first four seconds when a Mohits song comes in you already know it’s a Mohits song, Don Jazzy just goes crazy on the beat,” Rema said.

“The time when Olamide used to drop crazy hits as well, he still drops crazy hits, you know, Psquare, 2Face, Timaya.”

Rema has established himself as a prominent name in the African music industry, with numerous awards and honourary mentions.
He is currently signed to D’Prince’s Jonzing World, a subsidiary of Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records.
