The Kwankwasiyya movement and members of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), on Thursday, organized a special prayer simultaneously at six locations in the Kano metropolis.
SOLACEBASE reports that the prayer session is coming ahead of the governorship election tribunal judgement which no date has been fixed.

It could be recalled that the All Progressives Congress (APC) dragged the New Nigeria Peoples Party and the state governor, Abba Kabiru Yusuf challenging his victory.
The six chosen sites for the prayer session include Katsina Road, Gwarzo Road, Madobi/Sharada Road, Zaria Road, Maiduguri Road, and Hadejia Road.
During the prayer session, a former deputy governor of the State, Prof. Hafiz Abubakar, was sighted at the Madobi/Sharada location among many supporters of the Kwankwasiyya Movement.
Notably, among the leaders of these prayer sessions was Yusuf Ogan Boye, Senior Special Assistant on Youth Matters to the State Governor.
Ogan Boye led the prayer session at the Hadejia Road location, around Mundubawa junction.

Some of the participants at the prayer sessions who spoke to SOLACEBASE said the initiative is to seek divine guidance and blessings ahead of the tribunal judgment which is anticipated to hold soon.
Hajiya Amina Abdullahi Sani, Commissioner for Special Duties, who was present at the prayer ground said they came out in large numbers to pray because they do not have anyone at the top to support them.
“We don’t have anyone at the national level to support us, so we came out to pray for Allah’s intervention”
