Sokoto State Governor Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu and three former state governors have graced the wedding Fatiha of the daughter of Malam Yusuf Dingyadi, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications to the PDP National Chairman in Sokoto.

Gov Aliyu, represented by his  Deputy, Alhaji Idris Mohammed Gobir, attended the wedding of Hawa’u Dingyadi to Abdullahi Aliyu (Alpha) on Friday.

The ceremony took place at the Sultan Hassan Dan Mu’azu Friday Mosque in Runjin Sambo with mammoth crowds of politicians, clerics and business people.

The marriage was solemnised by the Chief Imam of Sultan Hassan Dan Mu’azu Jumu’at Mosque, along with Malam Usman Liman and Bashir Gidan Kanawa, after the payment of N300,000 as dowry.

Prominent attendees included former governors Yahaya Abdulkarim, Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, and Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, former Minister Yusuf Suleiman, PDP Chairman Bello Goronyo, Waziri of Sokoto Alhaji Sambo Junaid Wali, and Islamic Scholar Malam Bello Yabo.

Prayers were offered for the couple’s happiness and the country’s peace and stability.
