ALPSPN sacks BoT members, places five council executives on indefinite suspension

Association of Licensed Private Security Practitioners of Nigeria ALPSPN, has announced the removal of  five members of its Board of Trustees over unresolved leadership crisis.

Solacebase reports that ALPSPN also placed five executive council members on indefinite suspension for alleged disobedience to council’s resolution.

Raising from an  emergency general meeting held on 6th September, (Virtually), the association said the sack of her BoT members become necessary after the raging impasse between the BoT/NEC grounded routine exercise for two months.

In a resolution signed by ALPSPN Vice president Rev. Canon Mark Abere and acting secretary Kingsley Akwa, and made available to journalists in Kano, on Wednesday, the association declared that removal of members of its BoT was in accordance with provisions of section 834 of the Companies and Allied matters Act of 2020 and Article XI, section 1 (b), (e) and (f) of ALPSPN 2016 constitution.

The private security association accused their trustees of neglecting the path of promoting the progress and tenet of ALPSPN as spelt out in the guiding principles. The BoT members were equally kicked out  for allegedly operating beyond the mandatory number of 10 members as specified in the constitution of the association.

NEC also accused the BoT of disregarding the directives of the regulatory body NSCDC towards resolving the differences between  BOT and the NEC.

According to Solacebase, those removed include AVM M.N Umaru rtd., Sir Barr. Edwin Onah, Alh. Musa Pindiga, Compol. Lawrence Alobi rtd. and Barr. Nkanor Akpatre.

Also, the National Executive Council Members suspended include Mr. Chris Adigwu National General Secretary, Hon. Chinedu Egbenumolise Treasurer,

Alh. Adamu Abubakar Gombe State Chapter Chairman and Secretary John Audu, as well Amb. Usman Danjuma Ibrahim former Borno State Chapter Chairman.

The association however passed vote of confidence on her National President Barr. Wilson Esangbedo while directing all zones affected by the removal of their trustees to perfect arrangement to elect new trustees and forward same to NEC before ALPSPN AGM holding in November.
