APC delegate led by Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda to visit Malam Shekarau in Kano next week
Barring any last-minute change, the leadership of the All Progressives Congress APC led by its National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, is expected to visit former Kano State Governor, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, next Tuesday in Kano.
A credible source at the APC national secretariat told SolaceBase on Thursday that arrangements have been completed to visit and appeal to Malam Ibrahim Shekarau to join the APC to strengthen the party in the state and across the country, where the former senator of Kano Central has a large number of followers.
Malam Shekarau, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was Atiku Abubakar’s coordinator in the 2023 general elections in the state.

The source informed SolaceBase that contacts have already been made to the two-term former Kano State governor’s network to make the defection easy.
The move is seen by many as a way for the APC to fortify its hold on Kano in the 2027 general election with the defection of the state governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, from NNPP to APC.
Similarly, the leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement and former presidential candidate of the NNPP, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, defected to the ADC on Monday
