The Bayero University, Kano (BUK) Deputy Registrar and Deputy Director at the School of Postgraduate Studies, Mrs Zainab Abubakar Pate, has been inducted as a Fellow of the Association of Professional Counsellors in Nigeria (APROCON).
SolaceBase reports that the event was held on Tuesday at BUK new campus.
The event attracted dignitaries that include the University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Haruna Musa, the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academics, Prof. Ahmad Muhammad Tsauni, among many others.
The induction marks another significant milestone in the career of Mrs Pate, whose professional responsibilities at BUK reflect her commitment to academic administration, counselling, and the development of postgraduate education.
Her achievement has attracted commendation, particularly from the academic and professional community, with well-wishers describing the fellowship as a recognition of her dedication, professionalism and service.

Mrs Pate is married to Professor Umaru Pate, the immediate past Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Kashere, a distinguished scholar and media academic.
Professor Pate is also the pioneer Dean of the Faculty of Communication at Bayero University, Kano, and holds the traditional title of Kaigamma of Adamawa.
According to well-wishers, the induction of Mrs Pate into the fellowship of APROCON is another notable achievement for a family deeply associated with scholarship, education, professional excellence and public service.
