Argentina win Copa America title after 1-0 win against Colombia
Argentina retained their Copa América title after beating Colombia 1-0.
Lautaro Martinez’s extra-time goal secured the championship for Argentina.
Martinez netted in the 112th minute as Argentina secured their third consecutive tournament win (2021 and 2024 Copa America, as well as 2022 World Cup).

Martínez, who was the competition’s top scorer with five goals, fired a shot past Colombia goalkeeper Camilo Vargas on a breakaway following a turnover.
Argentina had to win the title without captain Lionel Messi who was subbed out in the 66th minute with an ankle injury.
The result broke Colombia’s 28-game international win streak, which dated to February 2022, also a loss to Argentina.
