The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar has congratulated Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike on his 55th birthday anniversary amid the crisis between them.
Atiku congratulated Wike, in a post via his verified Twitter handle on Tuesday.
The PDP presidential candidate shared a photograph of Wike with the inscription: “Many Happy Returns. “As you turn 55 today, I pray that all lines fall in pleasant places for you. Enjoy your special day.”

Over the past few months, Wike and the G5 Governors have been calling for the resignation of Senator Iyorchia Ayu as the party’s chairman, claiming Ayu and the party’s presidential candidate cannot come from the same region.
However, Ayu had insisted that he would not resign his position on the basis of the demands of Wike and his allies.
