The presidential flag-bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubabar was full of excitement as he received former Deputy Governor of Kano State, Professor Hafiz Abubakar and his team, in his residence at Maitama, Abuja, today.
Atiku, who did not hide his excitement, said Prof Hafiz Abubakar Support Group would greatly impact on his presidential ambition having assembled a team of professionals and technocrats.
He said Nigeria at this crucial time needs the intervention of technocrats, professionals, intellectuals, spritual leaders and concerned stakeholders to bail it out of the present predicament, which Professor Hafiz Abubakar Support Group represents.
According to Atiku, since the Civil War, Nigeria has never had it rough, appealing to the group to work closely with his campaign team to ensure that APC is brought down in the forthcoming elections.
Earlier in his remarks, Professor Hafiz Abubakar said he was highly delighted with the reception accorded to his team, saying that it was a sign of good leadership qualities exhibited by Atiku Abubakar.
He said Professor Hafiz Abubakar Support Group was solely established to support the Atiku/Okowa campaign train as the next President and Vice President, respectively.
He introduced the support group that comprises academics, professionals, technocrats, seasoned politicians, the youth, clerics, women and comrades whom he assured Atiku that they would work assidiously day and night to ensure that he wins the presidential election in February.
