VIDEO: Aviation minister, Sirika gives update on closure of Abuja airport

Aviation Minister, Hadi Sirika has said the Abuja international airport has been opened to flight operations after the Max Air incident, on Sunday afternoon.

SOLACEBASE had reported that Max Air coming from Yola crash landed at the Abuja airport on Sunday afternoon.

The incident led to the closure of flight operations from afternoon.

The minister in a tweet on Sunday night, said Max Air aircraft has been towed away, runway has been swept, inspected and certified.

He said the airport is now reopened for operations.
