Bandits attack NSCDC personnel at checkpoint in Zamfara

Suspected bandits have killed personnel of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Zamfara State.

The bandits attacked the NSCDC officers at Gadar Yan Anka checkpoint in Anka Local Government area of the state Saturday Night

The Zamfara state command of the NSCDC has confirmed the incident to newsmen, though they are yet to confirm the number of Casualties.

The Public Relations officer of the Command Ikor Oche says the command is currently gathering information from the affected local council

Oche added that normalcy has been restored in Anka as additional troops have been deployed to avert the recurrence of the incident.
