Barakat stores lauds DSS, Army, Police for recovering stolen items
The management of Barakat stores has commended the Nigerian Army, police, operatives of the Department of State Services and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps for intercepting and recovering goods stolen from the store last Thursday during the end bad governance protest in Kano.
The commendation was contained in a letter sent to commandant 3 Brigade Nigerian Army, Bukavu Barrack and Department of State Service (DSS) Kano command on Friday.
The letter signed by the General Manager of the Barakat Stores Alhaji Muhammad Sani reads “I Muhammad Sani on behalf of our company ( Barakat Stores) do hereby appreciate and received some goods intercepted by the Nigerian Army, Police, DSS, Civil Defence and some good citizen of the state from the hoodlum protesters on 1st August 2024.

“Similarly, we appreciate the security effort for their prompt attention to the situation.”
It would be recalled that on Thursday some thugs infiltrated a peaceful protest tagged ‘end bad governance in Nigeria’ vandalised Barakat Stores and stole goods.
However, with the support of security agencies and some good Samaritans some of the stolen goods have been recovered.
