The newly appointed General Manager of Barau FC, Dominic Iorfa, has assured fans and stakeholders that he is committed to repositioning the club towards achieving its long-desired ambition of excelling in the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL).
In an exclusive interview with SolaceBase, Iorfa pledged to put in place structures that will ensure the team not only retains its NPFL status but also competes strongly at the top level.
“My focus is to make sure Barau FC remains a force in the Nigerian Premier League. I will restructure the club in line with modern standards that will help us realize our ambition of performing wonderfully in the NPFL.”

He emphasized that player welfare will be a top priority under his management, noting that adequate motivation is key to driving performance on the pitch.
“I am going to prioritize the welfare of the players, ensure they get the necessary attention, and provide them with everything they need to succeed. Creating an enabling environment for them is the first step towards achieving our goals.”
The new GM also called on fans and supporters of the club, particularly the people of Kano State, to remain patient and continue rallying behind the team.
“I urge our supporters to remain calm, stay united, and keep cheering the team. With their encouragement, we will surely succeed.”
Barau FC, one of Kano’s emerging football clubs, is currently striving to consolidate its presence in the NPFL, and stakeholders believe Iorfa’s appointment could mark the beginning of a new era for the team.
