The funeral prayers of Hajiya Asiya Gauyama, late mother-in-law of Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, was held on Monday at his residence in Nassarawa GRA, Kano.
She was subsequently buried after the prayer session
SolaceBase reports that Hajiya Asiya passed away at over 90 years on Sunday evening in Kano.
The funeral prayer, initially scheduled for 2 pm at Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s residence on Miyangu Road, Kano state, was delayed until 2:35 am.

The funeral prayer drew a large crowd of mourners, including politicians, clerics, businessmen, and other prominent figures, who came to offer condolences to the Ganduje family.
Notable attendees spotted by SolaceBase at the prayers session include Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, Kano APC Chairman Abdullahi Abbas and Senator representing Kano South, Abdulrahman Kwau Sumaila among others.
