A former lawmaker representing Kazaure/Roni/Gwiwa/Yankwashi Federal Constituency, Hon. Gudaji Kazaure, has alleged that many of the setbacks experienced during the late former President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration were caused by people he entrusted with power.
Hon. Kazaure made the allegations on Tuesday in an exclusive interview with SolaceBase in Daura, Katsina State.
He claimed that some individuals within Buhari’s inner circle took advantage of his illness to carry out numerous acts of corruption and misconduct.
“Some members of his cabinet forged his signature and committed many wrongdoings. Quote me anywhere — there were approvals made with his fake signature. I can prove it.
I was very close to President Muhammadu. Even while he was in office, I spent hours with him in his room. I know he had a good heart and never cheated Nigeria,” Kazaure said.

He further stated that President Buhari had good intentions and wanted to do more for the country, but was hindered by those around him.
“President Buhari had plans to do many things, but he couldn’t. He left those plans in our hearts, and whenever we get the opportunity, we will continue from where he stopped.”
Kazaure called on Nigerians to pray for the former president and ask for God’s forgiveness on his behalf.
“I urged Nigerians to pray for President Buhari. He was a good man and a man of integrity. Just look at his house — even a local government chairman might not live in a house like this, let alone a governor. This shows you that Buhari never stole public funds.”
He addqd that in the near future, Nigerians will come to understand and appreciate the long-term benefits of some of Buhari’s policies.
