BUK addresses transcript delays, bribery allegations
Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has expressed concern over recent complaints regarding delays in the issuance of transcripts and allegations of bribery linked to the process.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Saturday by the Registrar, Haruna Aliyu.
SolaceBase reports that the university assured graduates that it is committed to upholding transparency and integrity.
“We take these matters very seriously, and we want to assure you that we are committed to maintaining the integrity and trust of our university,” the statement read.
According to the statement, to tackle the issues, the Registrar’s Office has introduced measures to streamline the transcript collection process.

‘’These adjustments aim to ensure that graduates receive their transcripts promptly without unnecessary challenges.
‘’Furthermore, the university is investigating the bribery allegations. The Registrar stated that anyone found engaging in unethical practices would face disciplinary action in line with BUK’s policies.
‘’Graduates with information regarding bribery or any irregularities in the transcript issuance process are encouraged to report directly to the Registrar’s office.
“Your input is invaluable in helping us address these issues promptly and effectively,” the statement added.
