PHOTOS: Guber celebration victory turns to destruction of properties in Kano
The declaration of the governorship candidate of NNPP in Kano, Abba Kabiru Yusuf by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as winner of the guber election held on Saturday, has elicited celebration and fun-fare by most of the party supporters.
The announcement of the result on Monday morning came in with the state government declaration of curfew to forestall break down of law and order in the cause of the celebration by the winner’s supporters or protest by those who lost the election.
However, the celebration later turned to destruction of perceived supporters of other political opponents and properties of the political parties.
SOLACEBASE reports that the celebration that include taking over the major roads by the supporters, with cars and motorcycles stunt, dancing and singing.

It was observed that the deployment of the military, police and NSCDC personnel relatively controlled the situation as major roads such as airport road, club road, miller road, State road, Audu Bako road, Fagge, Ibrahim Taiwo road, Zaria road and Zoo road among others, were taken over by the jubilant supporters.

Some of the property affected were vehicles of a famous local musician, Rarara set ablazed , off Zoo road and his house destroyed.
Also another house off Zoo road behind First Bank PLC was destroyed and billboards of oppositions especially APC, were not that lucky.
