Kano chief Imam leads funeral prayer of Danbatta’s wife

The Chief Imam of Kano state Prof. Muhammad Sani Zaharaddeen on Thursday led funeral prayer of the wife of the deputy governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general elections in Kano, Yusuf Bello Danbatta.

SOLACEBASE had reported that Hajiya Kauthar Yusuf Bello died on Monday in Cairo, Egypt due to ill health.

The late 38-year-old mother of five was until her death a staff of National Population Commission (NPC).

The funeral prayer, which was conducted at Kofar Kudu, Emir of Kano’s palace was attended by many prominent people, including former Kano state governorship candidate of the PDP,  Sadik Aminu Wali, Yusuf Bello Danbatta, Secretary to the Kano state government, Baffa Bichi, Sarkin Bai Bichi, Alhaji Isyaku Waziri and Alhaji Abba Dabo, among others.

The Chief Imam prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased’s shortcomings and grant her eternal rest, Al-Jannatul Firdaus.

The funeral prayer and final internment was conducted at about 4:55 p.m. on Thursday.
