The Chief Imam of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Ulama, Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Soliu, has passed away at the age of 75.
The death of the revered Islamic scholar was confirmed by family sources to SolaceBase on Monday.

He was appointed the 12th Chief Imam of the Ilorin Emirate in 1983, a position he held for over four decades.
