The committee of elders and supporters of Hon. Ali Musa Danmaliki, the NNPP candidate for the chairmanship of Kumbotso Local Government Area, are appealing to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to respect and obey court order and ensure that Ali Musa DanMaliki is given his rightful position.

Hon. Jabiru Abdullahi Zawachiki, who is Deputy Director General of the Hon. Ali Musa Danmaliki Campaign Committee, stated this on Monday at a news conference.

He said this is in line with the electoral victory of Ali Musa Danmaliki in the recent local government elections held on October 26, 2024.

Zawachiki said the committee of elders and supporters of Hon. Ali Musa Danmaliki urged the governor to comply with the order of the Kano State High Court no 4, which confirmed Hon. Ali Musa Danmaliki as the authentic candidate of New Nigerian People Party (NNPP) in Kumbotso Local Government Area.

He emphasized that Hon. Ali Musa Danmaliki is the legitimate candidate who contested the election last Saturday.

Also speaking Adamu Garba Bechi, one of the campaign directors of the Hon. Ali Musa Danmaliki, stated that the call for Hon. Ali Musa Danmaliki’s inauguration is a collective demand from the people of Kumbotso Local Government Area.

According to him on October 25, 2024, the Kano State High Court, presided over by Justice Usman Mallam Na’abba, confirmed Hon. Ali Musa Danmaliki as the authentic candidate of the NNPP for the chairmanship of Kumbotso Local Government Area, following a lawsuit filed by Hon. Ali Musa Danmaliki challenging the party’s leadership in Kano State after the party changed his name with another person as the legitimate candidate.

The court’s decision upheld Hon. Ali Musa Danmaliki’s candidacy, dismissing the party’s attempt to replace him with Abdullahi Ghali Shitu.
