Council of Ulama announces Dantata’s funeral prayer time, venue

The Kano Council of Ulama has announced that a Salatul Ga’ib (funeral prayer in absentia) will be held for the late Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata, who passed away recently.

According to a statement released by the Chairman, Malam Ibrahim Khalil, the prayer is scheduled to take place at 2:00 pm at the Umar Bin Khaddab Mosque, located in Gyadi-Gyadi, Kano.

He also confirmed the arrangement and called on members of the Muslim community to attend and pray for the deceased.

“Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un. May Allah forgive him and grant him Jannatul Firdaus,” the statement added.

SolaceBase reports that Salatul Ga’ib is performed for a deceased person whose body is not present at the site of the prayer, typically when the individual dies in a different location and is buried there.
