The Islamic Movement of Nigeria has challenged the Federal Government to provide palliative measures to the people with the harsh effect of the COVID-19 as it is being done in other parts of the world.
Islamic Movement of Nigeria, Kano Chapter, under the Leadership of Sheikh Sunusi Abdulkadir Koki made the call on Tuesday at a news conference held in Kano.
Addressing journalists, Dr Dauda Nalado of Bayero university made the assertion stressing that the IMN is dismayed over what they called the unprepared style of the federal authorities that led to the pandemic in Nigeria.
“Nigerians should try to domesticate all the instructions that will stall the spread of the pandemic, which includes; regular hands washing, protective facemask, and social distancing” Nalado advised.
Dr. Nalado also, decried alleged deplorable condition their spiritual leader Shiekh Ibrahim El- Zazzaky is being kept at Kaduna Correctional Center.
“Authorities would be hold responsible for anything that happen to our leader” Nalado said.
