Yusuf explained that the choice of Sallari Special Primary School was driven by the dire state of the learning environment. “The school was in a highly dilapidated condition—there were no seats, classrooms were unsafe, and the environment was not conducive for learning. We saw the urgent need to step in and make a difference,” he added.

He highlighted that the intervention at Sallari is one of several CSR projects KEDCO has carried out across different communities.

He also reiterated the company’s readiness to continue investing in the education sector and supporting government efforts to improve socio-economic development in the state.

“The government cannot shoulder all responsibilities alone. It is essential for private companies like KEDCO and other institutions within the local government to come together and contribute meaningfully to the growth of education,” Mr. Yusuf stated.

He called on the local government and the surrounding community to take ownership of the renovated facilities and ensure their security. “We appeal to the community to safeguard these facilities from vandalism, so that the benefits can be sustained for the long-term good of the students and the community at large,” he urged.
