Hajiya Rabi Idris ( Hajiya Umma), mother of Daily Trust Editor-in-Chief, Malam Hamza Idris, is dead.

According to one of her sons, Aminu Idris,  she passed away in the early hours of  Monday, 23rd June, 2025, at her residence in Kano, after a brief illness.

He said the burial arrangement will be held at 11:00 am at Wali Maigeza Cemetery, popularly known as Kofar Mazugar Cemetery, in Kano metropolis.
