Doguwa confers Santuraki title on media professional, Ibrahim Dawakin Tofa
A member of the House of Representatives, Honourable Alhassan Ado Doguwa, Sardaunan Kasar Hausa Maituta, has conferred the traditional title of Santurakin Sardaunan Hausa on a journalist, Ibrahim Yaro Dawakin Tofa.
The ceremony took place in Daura, shortly after Doguwa, a lawmaker representing Doguwa/Tudun-Wada Federal Constituency, of Kano State, himself was turbaned with the prestigious title of Sardaunan Kasar Hausa Maituta by the Emir of Daura, Dr. Umar Faruk Umar, over the weekend.
According to a statement issued after the event, the title was bestowed on Dawakin Tofa in recognition of his loyalty, dedication, and unwavering support to Honourable Doguwa, as well as his commitment to the values and traditions of Hausa heritage.

As Santurakin Sardaunan Hausa, Ibrahim Yaro Dawakin Tofa is expected to play a key role in supporting Doguwa’s initiatives and promoting the welfare of the people, in addition to any responsibilities assigned to him by the Sardauna.

The Santuraki title, traditionally conferred on a trusted ally and confidant, further symbolises the growing bond between traditional leadership and community development efforts in the region.
