DSS arraigns man for allegedly raising funds for ISWAP, Boko Haram

The Department of State Services (DSS) on Wednesday arraigned a man, Samaila  Kaigama, in the Federal High Court in Abuja for allegedly raising funds for two terrorist organisations.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the two terror groups are the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) and the Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal-Jihad (Boko Haram).

Kaigama, who was also charged with soliciting money for terror activities, was arraigned before Justice Salim Ibrahim on four counts.

The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the four-count charge marked: FHC/ABJ/CR/439/2026.

Following the defendant’s not guilty plea, the Prosecution Counsel, Caliatus Eze, urged the court to remand the defendant in the protective custody of the DSS in the interest of national security and that of the defendant.
