Edo Killing: Gov Okpebholo visits Kano as Gov Yusuf seeks compensation for victims’ families

Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has paid a condolence visit to the Kano State Government and the families of 16 hunters who were burned to death by criminals in Uromi, Edo State. 

Speaking at the Government House, on Monday, Okpebholo expressed shock over the incident and assured that 14 suspects involved in the killings have been arrested.

SolaceBase reports that the governor also promised that justice would be served for the families of the victims.

Similarly, Gov. Yusuf commended the Edo governor for his swift action in addressing the security situation following the attack.

He urged the governor to ensure that the culprits are punished. 

“We have implemented strong security measures to prevent any reprisal attacks.

Governor Yusuf also called on the federal government to reveal the identities and faces of those arrested in connection with the gruesome killings.

Additionally, he urged Governor Okpebholo to ensure that compensation is paid to the families of the deceased.
