Eid al-Adha: MULAN calls for unity, prayers for peace
The Muslim Lawyers’ Association of Nigeria (MULAN) has called on Muslims nationwide to use the occasion of Eid al-Adha to strengthen unity and offer heartfelt prayers for peace, especially in parts of the country grappling with insecurity.
In a statement personally signed by MULAN National President, Barr. Saidu Muhammad Tundun-Wada encouraged Muslims to stand together in the spirit of Eid, showing solidarity with affected communities and extending compassion to those in need.
“As we celebrate this sacred festival, let us remember the profound lessons of sacrifice and faith that it embodies,” Tundun-Wada said.
He added that, “Now more than ever, we must come together as a united community to pray for peace and offer support to those who have been affected by violence and insecurity.”

Tundun-Wada stressed that the values of sacrifice, devotion, and empathy exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim should inspire Muslims to be sources of hope and comfort during these challenging times.
He also urged Muslims to reach out to their neighbours and extend kindness to the less privileged.
“We must never forget the plight of those who have lost loved ones or have been forced to flee their homes due to conflict.
“Our prayers and acts of compassion can bring healing and hope to these communities,” he stated.
SolaceBase reports that the MULAN president also prayed for Allah’s mercy and protection over the nation.
“May Allah accept our prayers and grant lasting peace and security to our dear country. Eid Mubarak to all Muslims,” he concluded.
