The Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has won the election in Enugu state.
Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) presiding officer in the state, Prof. Maduebibisi Ofo Iwe, on Monday said Obi scored 428,640 votes to defeat Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who had 15,749 votes and Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress. (APC) who had 4,772 votes.

Prof. Igwe said 482,990 voters were accredited out of the 2,112,793 registered voters in the state.
He said the number of valid votes was 456,424 while 12,467 were rejected.
