PHOTOS: Emir Aminu Ado Bayero commissions Islamiyya primary school in Kano

The 15th Fulani Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, has commissioned a newly established Lum’ul Hayati Islamiyya and Primary School in Yakasai, Kano metropolis.

SolaceBase reports that the school, built by Kachallan Kano, Pharm. Ahmad Ibrahim Yakasai was donated as a charity to his late mother.

Emir Bayero, who rode on horseback from his Nasarawa Palace to Yakasai amid cheers from residents, supporters, and well-wishers, described the gesture as a commendable act of service to humanity and a lasting legacy for the late mother of the philanthropist.

He noted that education, particularly Islamiyya and primary education, plays a vital role in shaping the moral and intellectual foundation of children, urging other wealthy individuals to emulate Yakasai’s commitment to community development.

PROMISES-DELIVERED

In his remarks, Pharm. Ahmad Ibrahim Yakasai expressed gratitude to the Emir for gracing the occasion and reaffirmed his dedication to supporting education and social development in Kano.

The event was attended by traditional titleholders, religious leaders, community members, and government officials, who all commended the project as a significant contribution to both Islamic and Western education in the state.
