Emir of Katsina confers Sarkin Dawaki Mai Tuta on Saddiq Kaita

The Emir of Katsina, His Highness, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman will on Saturday 29th April confer the traditional title of Sarkin Dawaki Mai Tuta on a prominent son of the State, Engr. Saddiq Musa Kaita.

SOLACEBASE reports that Saddiq Musa Kaita is the grandson of late Sarkin Fada Damale Kaita.

In the letter of appointment, the Emir said the new Sarkin Dawaki Mai Tutan Katsina, a public servant has achieved a lot in  his chosen career and is expected will bring a lot of impact on humanity in one way or the other.

He is currently into integrated farming generating a lot of employment to many people in the society.

A polo match will be organised in his honour at the Katsina polo ground on Friday after which turbaning ceremony will take place at the Katsina Emir’s Palace on Saturday.

A traditional durbar ceremony is also expected to follow shortly after the turbaning ceremony.

The new Sarkin Dawaki Mai Tuta which is the first of its kind in Katsina Emirate holds Bachelor Degree in Electrical engineering (B.eng) from Bayero University (BUK) Kano and Master’s degree in Public Administration from the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) Kaduna.

Saddiq is a fellow of the Chartered institute of project management of Nigeria, Member Nigeria Society of Engineers (MNSE),Member Council for Regulation of Engineering (MCOREN) and a project management professional (PMP)Certification (PMI-USA).
