2024: Emir of Potiskum visits Emir Sanusi, seeks assistance on mosque building

The 16th Emir of Kano Muhammadu Sanusi ii, has received the first Northern Emir on a Solidarity Visit to his Palace, the Emir of Potiskum in Yobe State, Alhaji Umar Bubaram Ibn Wuriwa Bauya.

Bauya said he was at the Palace on a Solidarity Visit.

The Emir of Potiskum, Bauya, said during the visit, on Saturday, that they were at the Palace to extend their support to Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II who also doubled as the Nigeria spiritual Leader of the Tijaniyya Sect.

He reminded Emir Sanusi II that history is repeating itself with his second coming as Emir, “this happened to me some 26 years ago and with the help of Allah I was returned and living peacefully with my People”.

The Emir of Potiskum praised Emir Sanusi II as a good leader who prioritizes his people’s needs, adding that he should count on his personal support and that of his people.

He also appealed to Emir Sanusi II to support the construction of a Juma’at Mosque at his palace, which has been stalled due to financial difficulties.

“We started building the mosque about three years ago, but it has been delayed due to financial constraints. We hope you will assist us in completing the project,” Alhaji Umar Bauya said.

“We are seeking your usual support on the construction of a Juma’at Mosque at my Palace which we started about three years ago but it is stalled due to financial difficulties, we hope that you will help us as usual to complete the project”.

Responding Emir of Kano, Dr Muhammad Sanusi II, appreciated the Emir of Potiskum as the first Emir to visit his Palace and show him solidarity.

He emphasized that the visit demonstrates the unity and togetherness among traditional leaders, which will positively impact the lives and security of their people.
