Emir Sanusi II felicitates Muslims on new Islamic Year, calls for unity among Nigerians

The 16th Fulani Emir of Kano, Khalifa Muhammad Sanusi II has felicitated the people of Kano on the occasion of the successful completion of the Islamic calendar year 1445 AH and the commencement of 1446 AH.

SolaceBase reports that the Emir offers his sincere wishes for a peaceful and prosperous year ahead to the entire Muslim community, and particularly extends his best regards to His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

This was contained in a statement issued by Sa’adatu Baba Ahmad, on Sunday.

‘’In his prayers, the Sarkin Kano invokes divine blessings for the nation, President Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, and Sultan Abubakar Sa’ad, who are dedicated to promoting peace, unity, and progress in the Muslim Ummah and Nigeria at large, ‘’the emir said in the statement.

‘’He supplicates for an end to conflicts among Muslims and for the harmonious harnessing of Nigeria’s diversity for the betterment of all citizens in the coming year and beyond.’’

‘’The Emir also admonishes the nation to maintain peace and stability during the celebrations marking the Islamic New Year.’’
