Emir Sulu Gambari appoints new Balogun Ajikobi of Ilorin Emirate
The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has appointed Alhaji Suleiman Omokayode Abdulwahab as the 13th Balogun Ajikobi of Ilorin Emirate.
This was contained in a statement issued by Dr Abdulraheem Muritala, Personal Assistant to the Emir, on Friday night.
SolaceBase reports that the appointment follows the death of the 12th Balogun, Ajikobi, Alhaji Isiaka Yusuf Okunrinjeje. On 23 February, 2025
The statement said prior to this appointment, Alhaji Suleiman served with distinction as the District Head of Ipaye, a position to which he was appointed on May 10, 2019.

‘’In a transitional arrangement, he will continue to oversee the responsibilities of the Ipaye district pending the appointment of a new District Head, the statement said.
‘’The Emir prayed for a successful tenure for Alhaji Suleiman and wished him long life, sound health, and the wisdom to effectively discharge the duties of both esteemed offices.
