Ex-Nigeria ambassador to S/Africa, Ahmed Ibeto resigns membership of APC PCC, dumps party
A former Nigeria’s Ambassador to South Africa, and former Niger State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Musa Ibeto, has resigned his membership of All Progressives Congress (APC) and the party presidential campaign council.
SOLACEBASE reports that Ibeto, in his letter of resignation dated 3rd January ,2023 and addressed to his Ibelu Central ward Chairman, in Magama Local Government of Niger State on Tuesday, said he took the decision to dump the party for several reasons.
It could be recalled that Alhaji Ahmed Musa Ibeto dumped the APC for PDP in July, 2018 to contest the party governorship primaries returned back to All Progressive Congress (APC), in January 2019.
According to the letter he signed personally, said it was mainly due to absence of unity of purpose among party members and stakeholders occasioned by internal conflicts, unending litigations, internal threats of anti-party activities, lack of genuine reconciliation couple with lack of commitments and dedications to the success of the party by many stakeholders for these obvious reasons ‘’I concluded that of cannot continue to be a member of the party.’’

The letter read in part, ‘’Mr Chairman with my many years of active participation in politics and as a former party administrator, an elected official into many political offices I have come to this conclusion for many reasons, chiefly among which are the absence of unity of purpose among party members and stakeholders occasioned by internal conflicts, unending litigations, internal threats of anti-party activities, lack of genuine reconciliation couple with lack of commitments and dedications to the success of the party by many stakeholders for these obvious reasons ‘’I concluded that of cannot continue to be a member of the party.’’
‘’Mr. Chairman by this resignation , I cease to be a member of the Presidential Campaign Council, Assistant Secretary of the North Central Directorate of Mobilization and all organs and committees of the party,’’ the letter said.
