Factional LP Chairman Apapa summons lawyers handling Peter Obi’s election tribunal case

A factional chairman of the Labour Party, Lamidi Apapa, has directed all the party’s lawyers handling its election petition before the presidential election petition court, to within 48 hours come and brief him on the processes so far.

Mr Apapa’s summon comes after Justice Hamza Muazu of an Abuja High Court, on Friday, held that the court has jurisdiction to hear a suit seeking the removal of the party’s chairman, Julius Abure and four other national officers.

Reacting to the court’s ruling in an interview with journalists, Mr Apapa said that justice had taken its natural course, saying that the judge acted in line with true justice.
