The Pioneer Head of the Civil Service of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Mrs Grace Adayilo, is dead.
The late Adayilo reportedly died in the early hours of Monday, 1st of September, 2025.
The Special Assistant on Media to the HoS, Anthony Odey, confirmed the reports to reporters.
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has expressed grief over the death.

Grace, who made history as the first Head of Service and the first female to hold the position in the FCT, passed away in the early hours of Monday, September 1, 2025.
President Bola Tinubu had approved Adayilo’s appointment on October 6, 2024, with immediate effect.
Prior to that, she served as the Permanent Secretary of the Agriculture and Rural Development Secretariat.
