Flood: Atiku donates N50m to Kantin Kwari traders

The Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar has donated N50m to Kantin Kwari market traders in Kano over flooding that affected their place of business.
Solacebase reports that Kano has been experiencing heavy down pour in the last five days that has led to flooding in major parts of the metropolis.
Atiku announced the donation on Monday at Mudunbawa residence of Malam Ibrahim Shekarau in Kano, at the official defection of the two term Kano State governor to PDP.
The Wazirin Adamawa who sympathized with the traders said he was just informed about their plights coupled with the unfriendly business environment with economic hardship.

Acknowledging Shekarau’s political sacrifice, Atiku described his defection as a win for the people of Kano State, the PDP and the country at large.
Confirming his decision to cross carpet, the former Governor of Kano State, Ibrahim Shekarau noted that Atiku stands out as the most qualified candidate to get Nigeria working again.
Atiku was accompanied to Shekarau’s residence by his running mate Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State, Former of Governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido, former Minister of Transportation, Senator Abdullahi Umar Idris. amongst other party stakeholders.
