FRSC names Kano newly inaugurated emergency clinic after Corps Marshal Mohammed

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) on Saturday inaugurated a newly established Accident and Emergency Clinic in Kano, naming it after the current Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed.

SolaceBase reports that the clinic is part of the FRSC’s commitment to enhancing rescue services and providing immediate care to road traffic crash victims in Kano State.

Speaking at the occasion, Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating that the clinic supports the Commission’s 2024 goal of reducing road traffic deaths and injuries by 5%.

Mohammed commended the outgoing Sector Commander, ACM AT Mohammed, for completing the project within three months.

The Corps Marshal also highlighted the launch of the FRSC’s Mobile Application, which provides real-time data on traffic crashes and operational feedback from road users.

He said ”I feel honoured that the project is named after me, I am particularly grateful to the outgoing Sector Commander, ACM AT Mohammed for this remarkable gesture.

“I commend his dedication and outstanding commitment towards actualizing this important project within barely 3 months of his assumption of office as Sector Commander.”

“I am delighted to hear that the project was sponsored by our esteemed stakeholders and philanthropists in Kano State. This gives me a great sense of pride and excitement as the gesture has clearly aligned with my one of my administration’s policy thrust which centred on strategic partnerships.”

Secretary to the Kano State Government, Dr. Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, praised the FRSC’s leadership and innovations, emphasizing the clinic’s role in supporting Kano’s healthcare system.

“The recent launching of Mobile Application and National Crash Information Recording System, (NACRIS), by his administration will surely assist in achieving operational excellence in the Corps,” Bichi said.

The outgoing Sector Commander ACM Ahmed Tijjani Mohammed expressed appreciation for the support received in making the project a reality, stating that the clinic will provide critical medical assistance to road accident victims in Kano.
