FRSC: New Kano sector commander assumes duty

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) new Kano Sector Commander Corps Commander Umar Mas’ud Matazu has assumed duty.

SolaceBase reports that his deployment to Kano followed the elevation of erstwhile Sector Commander, Ahmed Tijjani Mohammed, to the rank of Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM).

A statement issued by FRSC Kano, Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Labaran, on Monday, said Corps Commander Umar Mas’ud Matazu was the Zamfara Sector Commander prior to redeployment to Kano

According to the statement, upon assuming office, on Monday,  Corps Commander Matazu pledged to continue the good work of his predecessor and enhance efforts toward ensuring road awareness campaigns to record a better and safer motoring environment in Kano State.

‘’The new Sector Commander emphasized the critical importance of collaboration and partnership with all relevant stakeholders, including the government, traditional institutions, transport unions, and the motoring public, ‘’the statement said.

He assured the public that the FRSC Kano State Command under his leadership would remain committed to promoting road safety through strategic interventions,  sensitization, and enhanced operational efficiency.

Also, Corps Commander Matazu extended appreciation to his predecessor, ACM Ahmed Tijjani Mohammed, for the remarkable leadership and legacy he left behind, particularly in fostering stakeholder collaboration and operational achievements. He assured the people of Kano State that these gains would be consolidated and built upon for the greater good of all.
