FRSC recovers stolen vehicle from Kano in an accident
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has recovered a stolen vehicle involved in an accident in Kaduna.
SolaceBase reports that Kaduna State FRSC Sector Commander, Kabir Y Nadabo said in a statement on Wednesday that the vehicle stolen from Kano was later involved in a lone accident and recovered from the scene.
It said the FRSC Command of RS1.111 Tashar Yari conducted a rescue operation at Marke village along the Kano-Zaria Expressway on Wednesday.

The statement read in part, ‘’A Toyota Camry vehicle with registration number ABC 153 CN was involved in a lone crash. The Rescue team while in the process of the operation recovered items such as ID Cards, an ATM card as well as an iPhone bearing the name Dr SABIU AMINU with several envelopes of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano which appeared suspicious.

‘’Through deliberate efforts of the Ag. Unit Commander, who was intimated about the development, contacted Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital where Dr Sabiu purportedly works and was informed that the Doctor was robbed in the early hours of the morning of Wednesday, 31/7/2024.’’
According to the statement, ‘’While the victims were rescued to ABU Teaching hospital where one of the victims was confirmed deceased, two others were unconscious while the 4th person was awake, conscious but however, escaped.

‘’The other two victims were treated and after regaining consciousness, one of them narrated that they had indeed stolen the vehicle with the intention of conveying it to Kaduna when tragedy struck. May I also add that the DPO Makarfi Division who was already informed about the case has directed for the victims to be transferred to Makarfi upon confirmation that they are fit to be moved. ‘’
‘’Meanwhile, Dr Sabiu has communicated with the DPO of Makarfi and is expected to be at the Division on 1st August 2024 while the accidented vehicle has been moved to the police station to conclude the investigation.
