The Vice-Chancellor Federal University Dutse, in Jigawa State, Prof. Abdulkarim Sabo Muhammed, has approved the appointment of Malam Abdullahi Yahaya Bello as the Pioneer Acting Director of Public Affairs of the University with effect from 1st March 2025.
This was contained in a statement issued by the university management on Friday.
The VC, in the appointment letter signed by the University Registrar, Alhaji Abubakar Mijinyawa, congratulated the appointee and prayed to Allah to grant him success in discharging his new responsibilities.

SolaceBase reports that Mal. Abdullahi graduated from the Department of Political Science, Bayero University, Kano in the year 2000. He has 25 years’ post-graduation experience as a Class Teacher, Journalist, University Administrator and Public Relations Manager.

He single-handedly established the Information and Public Relations Unit of the University in 2012 as the Pioneer University Public Relations Officer (PRO). He rose through the ranks to become the Pioneer Deputy Director of the Information and Public Relations Unit in 2023 before his current appointment as the Pioneer Ag, Director, Directorate of Public Affairs, Federal University Dutse.

He has attended many Media and Public Relations training programs, Conferences and Workshops. He is an Associate member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Member, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Member ,Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA) and Member, Institute of Registered Administrative Managers of Nigeria (IRAMN).
