The Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC) has given full accreditation status for seven programs in the Federal University, Dutse (FUD), Jigawa.
The Acting Director of Public Affairs of the University, Mr Abdullahi Yahaya made this known in a statement in Dutse on Wednesday.
The statement said the development followed the accreditation visits to the university by a team from the NUC in October and November 2024.
It listed the accredited programmes as; B.Sc Insurance, B.Forestry, B.Sc Computing, B.Ed Islamic Studies, B.Ed Library and Information Science, B.Ed Primary Education and B.Sc Biotechnology.

The statement added that, according to the report, the full accreditation status is valid for five years.
According to it, the Vice-Chancellor (VC) of the University, Prof Abdulkarim Sabo, thanked the NUC for the positive result from the accreditation visit.
It said the VC also commended staff of the Faculties, Departments and the Directorate of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance for their dedication and commitment, which made the full accreditation possible.
