A newly established private Hisbah organisation initiated by former Kano State governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has officially unveiled the application for its recruitment exercise.
The exercise is said to be under the Ganduje Foundation.
The launch was led on Saturday in Kano by the Director General, National Productivity Centre and a chieftain of APC, Hon. Baffa Babba Dan Agundi, alongside a former Kano State Hisbah Commander, Sheikh Harun Ibn Sina.
Speaking at the event, Ibn Sina, who is spearheading the initiative tagged ‘Independent Hisbah Fisabilillah’ under the Ganduje Foundation, clarified that the new Hisbah was not a government agency but a voluntary organisation established for religious and humanitarian services.

“This is not a government body. It is a voluntary organisation that we created purely for the sake of Allah. We are not in competition with the government’s Hisbah,” he said.
According to him, the creation of the independent Hisbah was aimed at providing a new platform for 12,000 individuals who were previously disengaged from the state-run Hisbah.
