Ganduje: Sowore lambasts Kano govt over missing case file comment, ‘get a copy from Dan Bello’
A human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore, has lambasted the Kano state government following a statement that the corruption case file of the immediate past governor of the state, Umar Ganduje was taken away by protesters.
Sowore said the statement should not put a hold on the trial of the former governor of Kano State, who is presently, the acting national chairman of APC
SolaceBase had reported on Wednesday that Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, who paid a visit to the state High Court vicinity, lamented that hired criminals destroyed the entire buildings and looted property amounting to ₦1 billion.

This was contained in a press statement made available to newsmen in Kano by the Governor’s Spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.
“It is very unfortunate that enemies of Kano State hired undesirable elements to vandalize one of the historic public buildings with a mission of averting corruption charges against the Ag. National Chairman of APC and former governor of the state Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, his family and aides,” the statement said.
However, Sowore, in a reaction, said that the statement from Kano State government could be likened to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu ‘s statement that the corruption case file of President Bola Tinubu got burned during the 2020 Endsars protest.

On his X handle, on Wednesday, Sowore said, “They should get a copy from Bello Galadanchi (a satirist and skit maker, known as Dan Bello). Talk of jokers in high places. So, are all the documents with the courts alone, and are there no copies with investigators, lawyers, and prosecutors?
“Reminds me of how the Lagos State government claimed Bola Tinubu’s corruption case files were burnt during #EndSARS.”
