Ganduje’s son visits Kano anti-graft chairman, promises to support litigation on misappropriation of funds against his family

An embattled son of Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Abdulazeez Ganduje, on Wednesday paid a solidarity visit to the chairman of Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission, Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado, in his office.

SOLACEBASE recalled that Abdulazeez had dragged his mother, Hafsat Ganduje to the EFCC in 2021 over alleged corruption on land-related matters.

He subsequently relocated to Egypt and continued his business activities as the APC National Chairman was not able to address the crisis when the commission had to invite Hafsat Ganduje over the formal complaints.

A reliable source at the commission confided in SOLACEBASE that Abdulazeez Ganduje visited the anti-graft czar around 5.00 pm on Wednesday to show support and solidarity to the commission’s case against his father, mother, brother, and some other entities.

He told the commission’s chairman that he was a director in one of the companies in the suit instituted by Kano State Government over misappropriation of funds against his family.

‘’I was a director in one of the companies and I was not even informed that my name has been removed as one of the directors which is illegal.

‘’I am not happy at all with the removal of my name without my consent.’’

According to the source, Abdulazeez Ganduje promised to support the anti-graft commission in the prosecution of the eight count charges bordering on corruption, misappropriation, and diversion of funds among others, filed against his father, Abdullahi Ganduje, his wife, Hafsat Umar, his son Umar Abdullahi Umar and five others.

The five other defendants are Abubakar Bawuro, Jibrilla Muhammad, Lamash Properties Limited, Safari Textiles Limited and Lasage General Limited.
