Gbajabiamila breaks silence on appointment as president Tinubu’s CoS

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has addressed reports of his appointment as Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

It could be recalled that reports of Gbajabiamila’s appointment emerged earlier on Thursday.

It was reported that he was appointed at a meeting with security chiefs at the State House in Abuja.

Similarly, Femi Fani-Kayode, the Director of New Media for the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Committee, has congratulated Gbajabiamila on his Twitter page.

However, when approached by newsmen to comment on his appointment, Gbajabiamila neither confirmed nor denied the information.

“Be patient, be patient, the system works in its own way. Let’s allow the system to work,” he responded to why his widespread appointment had not been made official amid congratulatory messages.

Asked if it would be announced before the end of the day, he said: “We’ll see, we’ll see, we’ll see. Thank you very much.”
