A top media professional and former presenter at Freedom Radio, Khalid Shettima Khalid has been appointed the new head of GCMX Radio Station, Kano.
SolaceBase reports that the management of GCMX Radio and Television stations announced Khalid’s appointment, citing his vast experience and deep expertise in broadcasting.

With over two decades at Freedom Radio, Khalid became well-known for hosting the popular Hausa music show, Taskira, which enjoyed significant popularity in previous years.
After exiting Freedom Radio, Khalid briefly joined Ammasco Radio, where he worked for several months before stepping down.
Khalid is expected to bring fresh ideas and professional insight to GCMX Radio in Kano, enhancing the station’s profile and strengthening its appeal to listeners across the country.
